Travel to the ranchland south of Mosby, in east-central Montana to Bowhunt Antelope with another well-established, experienced Outfitter. This is a good area, one of the better units in the state, with lots of animals, and good quality Bucks. This is an Un-Guided Hunt on Private ground. You provide the plan and responsible to execute and success will depend on how well you this is accomplished. The outfitter will give you a tour of the property and let you know which waterholes normally produce or where you can spot & Stalk with a decoy. I’d recommend you bring a good pop-up blind or two and set it/them up the day before you start hunting or in the pre-dawn darkness of the first day. You provide the food, accommodations and transportation as well.
The animals generally move all day and most the action will happen between 10:00 am and 2:00pm, so just relax, kick back, and enjoy the show. This is normally a dry area, where the animals usually water every day, but you can to spot and stalk or use a decoy if needed, as backup plan if it happens to rain while your there.

The area & trophy quality
This area is in the northern fringe of top-end Antelope country, and they do not have the volume of animals that you’d expect to see from areas like central Wyoming, but the bucks seem to run a little bigger. There’s plenty of animals however, and we expect most patient hunters will tag a nice (13” - 14” P&Y) buck with a chance at something (15” – 16”) special. There’s a mix or terrain, with some classic flat pastures, but there’s also a lot of rugged breaks, and in both areas, water is a premium so waiting at a water tank or small pond, is their go-to strategy.
