Sitka Blacktail Bowhunt on Kodiak Island
Travel to the south end of Kodiak Island for a fun, unguided bowhunt spotting & stalking sitka blacktails. This part of the island (Olga Bay region) is rugged and remote, with very few trees. This is a classic alpine adventure at a fraction of the price of sheep, goats or even caribou. The island has a healthy deer population (3-tag area) with a good supply of mature, shooter bucks. This is an unguided hunt, but nearly everything else included. Stay in a 60 ft., fully equipped charter yacht - a coast guard licensed vessel. It’s equipped with 3 dual occupancy staterooms with a bathroom in each and fantastic meals and great hosts. There’s plenty to do after you fill your tag(s). Caribou are not common, but can be encountered, and added via trophy fee. Fox are common and can be added (2 -tags / person) at no charge and make a beautiful trophy, plus you can fish for cod or even halibut. They use a float plane (included) to deliver clients to the vessel, which is anchored in quiet waters. This reduces the overall travel time and maximizes hunting time.
