Spot & Stalk Muskox in the mountains of southwest Greenland, north of the capital of Nuuk. This is superb muskox habitat and you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a good bull, as they have an abundant supply, one of highest concentrations in the world. This outfitter has been 100% (Archery / Muzzleloader / rife – your choice… since he started outfitting the Muskox hunts in 2010. This is a fair chase spot and stalk hunt in the late summer / early fall when I temperatures range from 32 to 50f. This is a fully guided all-inclusive hunt with a well-established outfitter, one that I’ve worked with for nearly 20 years. Plan to do some fishing after you tag-out as many of the rivers in the hunting area offer Arctic char fishing. There’s also ptarmigan and waterfowl and Arctic fox to hunt at no extra charge. This area has a good population of Caribou which can be add via upgrade (see below). P&Y recognizes the resident Caribou of Greenland as the Canadian Central Barren Ground Caribou.

Terrain
This area could be described as low coastal mountains. It’s closer to hills than mountains, and not too bad for hiking but a good exercise routine would be helpful prior to this trip. The animals can generally be found by glassing from the boat or ATV.
It’s a good bowhunting area although it’s tree-less, there’s enough broken (boulders / ridges) ground to offer good concealment for stalks.
